General Motors is working with several US universities, in developing new systems of vision projected on the windshield of the vehicle. As explained Thomas Seder in the video below , the manufacturer tries to capture warning lights on the windshield that will work as a screen to warn the driver of dangers, highlight the edge of a saturated with fog, highlight road traffic signs, and even indicate the final destination of the journey.
This technology called Head Up Display (HUD) uses infrared cameras, laser, and the latest in computer development. All this is real and insurance will be applied to all series cars in the not too distant future.
