Making your own windshield defroster

This is an excellent remedy at home to keep windshields, windows and mirrors of your car free of fog in those cold days of winter.

Instructions

  1. Mix 3 cups of vinegar with 1 cup water in a bowl. Dip a clean cloth in the solution and drain it gently.
  2. Clean the glass surfaces with the solution, including windshields, windows and mirrors.
  3. Allow to dry naturally.
  4. Reapply the solution after several frozen during the cold months.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the sun is shining, it allows the car to rest outside with the sun directly in the glass to heat. Or put your car in the garage after handling for several minutes; this will heat the air in the garage.
  • Make sure the windows and mirrors are clean before applying the mixture.
  • Do not do this outside when the temperature is below freezing, or the glass may crack.
  • Do not use hot water.
